Kyra is a documentary focused photographer using a combination digital and film formats. Her career began as an ambitious sixteen year old with a desire to create and capture connection. Documenting weddings and families, she uses a storytellling approach, focusing on relationships, authentic moments and emotion. She fell in love with the idea of preserving moments and film mediums after spending time a short time in the darkroom during her time at John Brown University where she studied Family and Human Services. She calls Arkansas home and travels often to document weddings all over.
Kyra's work is strongly influenced by film photographers, her parents and grandparents wedding images and her favorite poets, namely Mary Oliver
