Kyra is a documentary focused photographer using a combination digital and film formats. Her career began as an ambitious sixteen year old with a desire to create and capture connection. Documenting weddings and families, she uses a storytellling approach, focusing on relationships, authentic moments and emotion. She fell in love with the idea of preserving moments honestly and film mediums after spending time a just a short time in the darkroom and her time in college where she studied Family and Human Services. She calls Arkansas home and travels often to document weddings all over.

Kyra's work is strongly influenced by film photographers, her parents and grandparents wedding images, her favorite poets and the vulnerability shown by those she photographs. Inspired by sitting around a table with your people with a meal at the center. Unexpected moments and the art of observing the human experience. Learning about love, and joy, and grief. Hearing a strangers story. Songs with really good lyrics and wandering through art museums. Everyday moments and people who love well. Flm, old radios, clouds, thrifting, and all things vintage. Libraries, farmers markets, and brunch. John Dolan, Ruth Orkin, and many other artists. Pianos, New Year’s Eve, Sandra Bullock movies, journaling, and traveling to new places. Redefining what it means to be rich and the gift of a slow morning.
